I Colloquium / Conference on Latin American Political Ecology

The Conference on Latin American Political Ecology and Colloquium on research advances were held on September 28 and 29, 2021, in virtual mode, through Zoom.
The meeting brought together students of the Master in Political Ecology and Alternatives to Development of the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, corresponding to the generation of the academic period 2020-2022, to share the progress of their thesis projects.
During two days, the colloquium opened a space for academic exchange, collective reflection and accompaniment between research in progress, oriented by the questions, tensions and debates of Latin American Political Ecology.
This first meeting allowed the sharing of research problems, theoretical approaches, methodologies and territorial concerns related to socio-ecological conflicts, alternatives to development and ways of thinking about the relationship between society, nature, power and territory from Latin America.
The conference marked a first moment of articulation between students, teachers and situated research, and opened the way for the consolidation of a regional space for dialogue, training and critical production around Latin American Political Ecology.
