Eddie Bolaños Loor is an Ecuadorian educator, researcher, and master’s student committed to education, political ecology, and the empowerment of Afro-Ecuadorian identities. His academic and professional career has focused on territorial development, critical education, and the promotion of ancestral and community knowledge. He has participated in research projects such as the design of a territorial planning and management model for the rural parishes of the Riobamba canton, as well as in the generation of bio-knowledge in the field of agrobiodiversity through the recovery of ancestral knowledge in the Monte Puñay archaeological area. In addition, she has training in geospatial tools applied to natural resource management and in the creation of Andean stories with a cultural and educational focus. She is currently conducting research on the aspirations and dreams for the future of Afro-Ecuadorian youth, linking ethno-education, Ubuntu, and youth perceptions in school settings in the province of Esmeraldas, with a critical perspective oriented toward social, cultural, and territorial justice.
