This research analyzes the power dynamics that the Bolivian State has exercised over the Amazonian region of Beni, focusing on the Sirionó indigenous territory. The study reveals how the Bolivian State has imposed territorialization processes on the Sirionó people in order to integrate their lands into the logic of the market, from the sedentarization policies of the 20th century to the current expansion of soybean and rice.
The thesis concludes that the current development model in Beni subordinates indigenous autonomy and socio-environmental stability to the interests of agro-industrial capital, laying the foundations for the systematic destruction of the Amazonian ecosystem.
