In the face of the acceleration of territorial dispossession by capital, observatories of socio-environmental conflicts have emerged to analyze the dynamics of domination and the collective resistances that confront them. Under this premise, this thesis qualitatively examines the relationship between Observatories of Socio-environmental Conflicts in Latin America (OCSAL) and Latin American Political Ecology, exploring how they build knowledge and contribute to communities in struggle. Through a comparative and qualitative study of their contents, the research first classifies these observatories through descriptive categories such as their objectives, scales, publications and funding. Finally, the work deepens its analysis by evaluating the work of the OCSALs under the identity markers of critical thinking in the region, such as the colonial fact, the place of enunciation, the dialogue of knowledge and political action.
